The Bug Alphabet - Promethean Board Flipchart

This is a great flipchart to use for a insect unit! There is a picture of an insect for each letter of the alphabet. My students loved to see the pictures and guess what insect was going to come next.

Here is the Beehive! - Promethean Board Activity

While reading the poem - students can drag the bees out of the beehive - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Can make simple addition and subtraction problems using the bees and the beehive. For ex: "2 bees came out of the beehive and 1 more joined them, how many bees are out of the hive now? how many are in the hive?"

My students love repeating the poem and dragging the bees out and back in. Hope your students love it!!!

FREEBIE for Mother's Day

Here is a great activity that I did with my PreK and Kinder students.  Students had to write why they love their mother/grandmother/aunt.  - It really makes me laugh to read some of the students responses.  Students can then illustrate their response or can draw a portrait of their mother.  Before they start drawing we talk about what our mothers look like.  - I ask them:

"How many eyes does your mother have?"
"What color is her hair?"  "Is it pink?"...
"Where are is your mother's mouth?  Is it at the top by her hair?.."

I have also shown my class a picture of my mother.  I have the students give me directions, while I am drawing, on how I should draw my mother.   The students love to tell the teacher how to do draw!!!

Hope you enjoy this!!!

Tooth Fairy Roll Say Keep Game

This is a fun game that my students love to play. Roll the dice, find the number on board, turn over card, and say what is on card. If correct can put it in their keep pile and put a new card in it's place, but if incorrect the student has to put it back on their game board. If they turn over a tooth fairy or a tooth, they automatically get to put it in their keep pile. When time is up students will count their keep pile the one with the most cards wins the game.

Cards included:
  • kinder sight words
  • color words
  • number words to ten
  • numbers 1-20
  • lowercase letters (can name the letter, give the sound, and/or give a word that begins with the letter)

Hope your students enjoy this like my students do!!!

Here is a little math activity for 3rd and 4th graders.  Figuring out what number it is by using the clues on the clue cards.  Students will cover up the number on their "Who Am I" bingo cards when the number is solved.  This can be used in a large group or small group setting.  I hope your students enjoy it!
